What is the purpose of dial in?

We would recomend that to give your attendees the most engaging experience that your presenters join your event using the webcam funtionality in the presenter studio however we also understand that this is not always possible

If a presenter is unable to use their webcam or if their connection is so poor that it is having a negative impact on the event then they also have the option to join the session using their telephone. This way they will be able to participate in the discussion without the need to use their webcam. If they still require other features of the presenter studio they can still have access to this using the usual presenter magic links, they would just not need to join the call in the webcam section of the studio.

Presenters joining in this way will only be heard by your attendees. It may be a good idea to upload a presenter image for any presenters who join using their phones so that their photo will be shown in lieu of their webcam, we have an article on how to to that here.


How to locate dial in information

From within the webcam tool in the presenter studio, click on the telephone icon.

You will now see the dial in information displayed along with the unique PIN for joining the event.

How to join using a telephone connection

To join using their telephone, presenters just need to dial the number shown in the information above then enter the unique PIN for the event and they will be instantly brought into the event.
