Webcam Tool for Presenters

  • Mic and camera icons - There is now no hover state and simple green/red colouring. Green means camera or mic is on and red means it is off
  • Full screen slides (No sound) - Allows full screen slides to be broadcast without sound coming from presenters. This allows for holding or break slides etc to be used
  • Cam live text - This now accompanies the red bar along the bottom to make it clear when the speakers camera is live. This should help make it clear it isn't associated with the functionality of someones microphone as some speakers were getting confused.
  • Background colours - We were displaying a blue background on the webcam stream and black on mixer preview  which would be on our local captures and backups, but now both are black to match.
  • Fixed a bug that meant if you were a presenter and your computer went to sleep on wake it would look like you were still in the presenter webcam tool but would fail to work.
  • Improved layouts for grid view of presenters upto 12 presenters.
  • streamGo Producers now have advanced functionality allowing them to adjust the volume of individual presenters to provide a more even sound experience when different presenters are at varying volumes.
  • streamGo Producers can now upload an image directly (instead of using a URL of a hosted image) to replace a user's video that has poor bandwidth and show an image instead.
  • Rolled out a change that should improve slide quality.

    • Customisations to the video player that can trigger loot for attendees after x% of the event is viewed.
  • Improved reporting charting - this update allows users to zoom into the reporting graphs and get more and more granular information. The download reports are then updated to show data from that data range only.

Previous Updates

Previous updates were done to the streamGo Platform v1. This platform has been retired but core functionality and features are now in our new v2 Platform. The below is for indication only and covers new features and not bug or incremental improvements as implementation may now be different.

New Features

  • Single Sign On (SSO) API - that allows a magic link to be created with a specified TTL that enables users to login and bypass registration. This can be used with SSO services to provide login to a specific project as an attendee.
  • Roundtables - roundtables allow attendees to chat to each other in rooms of upto 20 from their web browser without going to an external meeting tool.
  • Roundtable Sorter - the Platform now allows multiple options to sort users into roundtables with defined number of roundtables and quantity of attendees per table.
  • Attendee Directory - perfect for allowing your attendees to network offline - the directory shows every user who has registered for the event and provides a anonymised email forwarder allowing offline post event conversation.
  • New Webcam Tool - our new tool means more compatibility for presenters without downloading any apps or applications. It also automates our on-demand process and provides grid view, active speaker view or slides and webcam side by side.
  • Screen Share - presenters can now use screen share natively with no downloads.
  • Leaderboard - based on user engagement with content the leaderboard provides gamification for attendees on virtual events.
  • Video Player Updates - the streamGo player has had a makeover and some new functionality has been added including:
    • multiple closed caption tracks for OD/replay events
    • the ability to show or move to an element on the page on completion of a video
    • the ability to redirect the user to another page after video is completed
    • preview thumbnails
    • floating video player - this will show when a user scrolls down the page the video player will float across the page. This float can be dragged by the user.
