Creating and Amending Content Blocks

Create and Amend Content Blocks in your Event and Sessions.

The streamGo platform allows the use of content blocks to include information that can then be pulled in various places or override dynamic components within your Event.

This article will discuss how to create and amend content blocks.

Create a content block in your event

Select Events in the top navigation. Then click the title of the event you wish to add a content block to

Expand the Content menu on the left and click Content. Select Content Blocks in the content list

To create a new block click "+ Create Block" and you will be presented with options to add in all the details required.

Here you can choose whether the block should be visible to all tickets, if No is selected you will then see content areas for each ticket type. You can also input the Reference, this is the text that will be used in the code to call this specific block.

Note: This is particularly useful if you want each ticket holder to view different text in the same area

For Content you can simply type this in the block or you can use code if you are familiar. Once you are happy click the create content block button


Amend a content block in your event

Select Events in the top navigation. Then click the title of the event you wish to add a content block to

Expand the Content menu on the left and click Content. Select Content Blocks in the content list

You will see the list of available content blocks. Click the pencil icon beside the block you wish to edit

Update the information that you need to change. Then click update content block


Create a content block in your session

Select Events in the top navigation. Then click the title of the event you wish to work on

Expand the Content menu on the left and click Sessions. Click the title or pencil icon of the session you wish to edit

Expand the Session Content menu and click Content. Select Content Blocks from the content list.

Amend a content block in your Session

Select Events in the top navigation. Then click the title of the event you wish to work on

Expand the Content menu on the left and click Sessions. Click the title or pencil icon of the sesson you wish to edit

Expand the Session Content menu and click Content. Select Content Blocks from the content list

You will see the list of available content blocks. Click the pencil icon beside the block you wish to edit

Update the information that you need to change. Then click update content block

EVENT_TITLE Text Only Replace the Event Title
Note: If used at Event level on multi-session events this will also override all Session titles. The content block can also be set at Session level for individual session titles. 
OD_TEXT Text Only Replacing the On Demand Text (e.g. Available On Demand)
VIDEOPRE Text Only Text to display above the video countdown e.g. "The broadcast starts in"
REG_MODERATION_ERROR_CONTENT HTML Replace the default content on the attendee page when waiting for registration confirmation on events with registration moderation enabled
CALCONTENT Text Only Replace the default description content to be included in calendar files.
CALLOCATION Text Only Replace the location information to be included in calendar files.
